My financial journey from complete ignorance to this point, where I feel I have some degree of competence, has been a long one with many pitfalls that may have been avoided had I had some more knowledge. This is the reason I wished to create this blog- because I have some experience that I wish I had three years ago when I started investing.
Since I have started investing, I have talked with many of my friends- most of them very intelligent engineering students- about their financial situation and what they know of budgeting, economics, politics, etc. I have been astounded by the lack of knowledge and indifference to these important topics.
Over the last few years, I have managed to get several people to start investing and getting their money to work harder for them. This has been a long process and often I have found myself repeating the exact same points to multiple people multiple times.
This is the reason I have started this blog. I wish to share my knowledge and experience in investing, from the view of a young person and one who was just as ignorant just a few short years ago. I hope that by doing this, I can help others become more financially literate and lead better, more prosperous lives.
